Stores I – Medical Supplies Clerk

About the role

The Stores I position supports the delivery of patient care by managing medical and surgical supplies across multiple health‑care facilities in Claresholm. You will work in a fast‑paced hospital environment, ensuring that clinicians have the right items when they need them.

Key responsibilities

• Issue, replenish and restock medical/surgical supplies throughout the hospital and affiliated health centres.
• Pick, package, ship and receive orders for supplies, equipment and food in line with established guidelines.
• Process incoming requisitions, distribute supplies and complete cart audits for quality assurance.
• Communicate with stakeholders to verify correct quantities and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Track and report inventory levels to prevent over‑stocking and support efficient material flow.
• Transport and deliver supplies between sites, including off‑site programs.

Required profile

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Physical ability to push/pull heavy carts up to 275 kg and lift items up to 25 kg, with long periods of standing or walking.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English and effective communication with staff, customers and vendors.
• Attention to detail, ability to work with limited supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft software; able to report to work within 60 minutes.
