Technical Sourcer

About the role

Beacon Software, a permanent‑capital holding company that acquires and scales vertical‑market software businesses across North America, is seeking a Technical Sourcer. You will own the top of the talent funnel, building high‑quality pipelines of engineering and product candidates before requisitions even open.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for engineering and product roles across Beacon’s portfolio, focusing on Toronto, San Francisco, and New York markets.
• Develop and execute multi‑channel sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, niche communities, referral networks, and AI‑assisted tools.
• Craft sharp, personalized outreach that engages passive candidates and represents Beacon positively.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate role requirements and filter candidates before they reach the recruiter’s desk.
• Track sourcing metrics (open rates, response rates, pipeline conversion) and iterate to improve effectiveness.
• Maintain clean, accurate candidate records in Ashby and ensure pipeline visibility across active searches.
• Stay informed on the competitive landscape, including hiring trends, layoffs, and senior engineer movements.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting with a focus on engineering talent.
• Hands‑on proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and experience using AI sourcing tools.
• Familiarity with GitHub and advanced Boolean search techniques.
• Comfortable engaging technical candidates and conveying the value of Beacon roles.
• Strong written communication; outreach should feel personal, not templated.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, and able to manage pipeline hygiene independently.
