Team Leader, Command Centre

About the role

Sunbury Transport is looking for a highly organized Team Leader to oversee its Command Centre dispatch operations. You will coordinate drivers, support a team of Driver Support Specialists, and drive continuous improvement across our logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Driver Support Specialists to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support to team members.
• Maintain flexible work hours to cover all shifts, with a primary day schedule.
• Support the rollout of new communication technologies, including AI‑enabled tools.
• Monitor driver performance and enforce compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare and analyse reports on key performance indicators and operational metrics.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of operations experience; logistics or transportation background is a plus.
• Proven experience in daily management and team leadership.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and general computer systems.
