About the role
Join Longview Logistics as a long haul truck driver, responsible for safely transporting goods across long distances while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes using GPS to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Load, unload, tarp and secure cargo, ensuring safety and security.
- Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections of brakes, tires, lights and cold‑storage equipment.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Address customer complaints and provide professional service.
- Maintain vehicle logs and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Monitor fuel usage and report any inefficiencies.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Class 1/1F/A licence with Air Brakes endorsement.
- Experience in long‑haul trucking is an asset.
Required skills
- Operation of straight and articulated trucks.
- Use of computer equipment and GPS navigation systems.
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
