About the role
The Team Leader directs the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in providing treatment, rehabilitation and support services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The role includes supervising the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high‑quality, respectful service, and serving as a practicing clinician.
Key responsibilities
- Direct day‑to‑day clinical operations of the ACT team, including on‑call clinical support until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and coverage on weekends and statutory holidays.
- Supervise, evaluate and support multidisciplinary team members in line with CMHA policies and Ontario ACTT standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, personnel and organizational records and ensure accurate client files and data are updated.
- Participate in staff recruitment, orientation and performance supervision.
- Develop, revise and implement program policies and procedures as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention, emergency staff supervision and consultation.
Required profile
- BSW, MSW or registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration in a regulated health profession.
- Experience in administrative, human services and office management.
- Knowledge of mental health issues and strong assessment/evaluation skills.
- Cultural competence for diverse populations.
- Valid driver’s licence, criminal records check and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
