Team Lead – Health Services

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a motivated Team Lead for its Health Services unit at the Bank Street location in Ottawa. You will combine leadership of daily laboratory operations with hands‑on specimen collection, ensuring high‑quality service for patients and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations at the LHSC site, managing workflow, client service and occupational health & safety.
• Escalate operational issues to the LHSC manager and support investigations of workplace incidents.
• Provide technical and operational expertise to staff, delivering training and guidance as needed.
• Utilize wait‑time data and technology to recommend process improvements that reduce patient bottlenecks.
• Perform Laboratory Assistant duties, including blood draws, ECGs, Holter hookups and pulmonary function tests.
• Ensure the location remains audit‑ready and complies with all regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Laboratory Assistant or in a similar clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
• Ability to lead a team, coordinate schedules and manage workflow.
• Excellent customer service orientation for both internal and external clients.
