About the role

The Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course Advances in Industrial Biotechnology (PHAR 540) for the Winter 2027 term. The appointment runs from January 5 to April 30, 2027 and involves approximately 45 hours of work over the term, compensated at an hourly rate of $38.46.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend classes and assess student participation.
  • Set up and invigilate the final exam.
  • Mark draft and final proposal exams.
  • Review exam results with students.
  • Post course materials to the myCourses website.

Required profile

  • Graduate student who has successfully completed PHAR 301 and PHAR 300 (or equivalent).
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
