Tax Analyst

About the role

The organization is looking for a Tax Analyst to join its finance team. Reporting to a senior tax leader, you will support corporate and indirect tax compliance across multiple entities while gaining exposure to a wide range of tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and supporting schedules.
• Support the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare tax‑related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses.
• Help with corporate tax filings, elections, and other compliance documentation.
• Provide audit support by gathering information and maintaining organized documentation.
• Respond to routine tax inquiries from internal stakeholders and produce required reports.
• Maintain tax records, schedules, trackers, and documentation.
• Participate in tax process‑improvement initiatives.
• Conduct tax research and assist with special projects, analyses, and ad‑hoc requests.
• Collaborate with finance and cross‑functional teams on tax reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation completed or actively pursued (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or a related finance function.
• Exposure to Canadian corporate and indirect tax compliance is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
