Tax Analyst

About the role

Global Relay is seeking a Tax Analyst to support its growing tax function across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Director of Global Tax, you will help the company meet its corporate and indirect tax obligations while gaining exposure to a variety of tax programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing interim and year‑end corporate tax provisions for entities in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
• Prepare and file domestic and international information returns and franchise tax filings.
• Compile corporate tax data for external consultants and review their deliverables.
• Support SR&ED and RDEC program documentation and claim preparation.
• Work with Tax Managers to record tax expense, perform book‑to‑tax analyses, and reconcile tax accounts.
• Prepare indirect tax returns (sales tax, GST/HST, PST, VAT) and record related journal entries.
• Assist with audit queries and information requests.

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Required skills

• Corporate tax preparation and filing.
• Indirect tax filing (GST/HST, VAT, sales/use tax).
• Knowledge of SR&ED and RDEC programs.
• Tax account reconciliation and book‑to‑tax analysis.
• Financial statement tax reporting.
