Tax Advisor & Preparer (Hybrid, Travel Required)

About the role

FBC is seeking a Tax Advisor & Preparer to join its Chilliwack team. This hybrid role combines on‑site visits to members’ businesses with remote work, supporting small‑business owners, farmers, and contractors across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file T1 and T2 tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Provide accurate tax and accounting advice tailored to each member’s situation.
• Identify member needs and refer them to FBC’s bookkeeping, payroll, legal, and financial planning services.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with members, encouraging referrals.
• Maintain detailed records of all member interactions and services delivered.
• Travel daily to urban and remote locations; report occasionally to the Kelowna office for team meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a tax preparation or accounting firm.
• Experience preparing tax returns for farms, small businesses, individuals, and corporations.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software (Taxprep, Xero preferred; iFirm knowledge a plus).
• Valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration, and reliable vehicle for daily travel.
