Talent Specialist – HR Recruitment & Development

About the role

The Art Gallery of Ontario is seeking a collaborative, people‑focused Talent Specialist to drive recruitment, onboarding, and employee development across the museum. You will partner with hiring managers and support a diverse, high‑performing workforce that brings the AGO’s mission to life.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for a wide range of positions, including hard‑to‑fill, high‑volume, internships, and international hires.
• Partner with hiring managers to design recruitment strategies, source candidates, coordinate interviews, and make hiring decisions.
• Design and deliver onboarding and orientation programs that create positive employee experiences.
• Support employee engagement, performance management, talent development, workforce and succession planning.
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems, HR databases, and performance platforms.
• Provide guidance on employment legislation, collective agreements, policies, and HR best practices.
