Tailor – Made-to-Measure Garments

About the role

Reet Riwaz Fabrics is looking for a skilled tailor to join our team in Abbotsford. You will be responsible for creating high‑quality, made‑to‑measure garments and providing professional alteration services to meet the unique needs of our customers. This role combines precision craftsmanship with creative pattern design in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce made‑to‑measure garments according to detailed customer and manufacturing specifications.
• Fit, alter, and repair garments to ensure optimal comfort and appearance.
• Design and draft patterns that accurately reflect individual measurements.
• Mark, cut, and sew fabric using both hand‑sewing techniques and industrial sewing machines.
• Create, alter, or re‑style fur garments and accessories as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of hands‑on experience in tailoring, dressmaking, or related garment work.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including morning, day, evening, and on‑call schedules.

Required skills

• Operation of industrial sewing machines.
• Proficiency in hand‑sewing techniques.
• Pattern design and drafting based on measurements.
• Fabric marking, cutting, and assembly.
