Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant

About the role

FamilyLife Canada, a division of Power to Change Ministries, is looking for a Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant to join its Operations Team. The role reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and supports 35+ staff across Canada in bringing help and hope to marriages and families. It is based at the National Resource Center in Abbotsford, BC, with the possibility of hybrid work, and is funded through Ministry Partner Development.

Key responsibilities

• Create engaging, clear and on-brand graphic designs for social media, website, email, print, event and fundraising communications, following feedback from the Director of Marketing and Communications.
• Coordinate with vendors for print material and support the execution of email and print marketing campaigns.
• Build and update web pages as needed to support the marketing and communications strategy.
• Assist staff across Canada with basic graphic designs to promote regional events.
• Help the Director of Marketing and Communications with administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Marketing, Christian Ministry or a related field, or a graphic design certification.
• 2-3 years of graphic design experience in a business or ministry context.
• 1 year of administrative experience or the aptitude to learn it.
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and adherence to the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Sense of typography and ability to design concepts from ideation to completion.
• Experience building and updating web pages with a CMS such as WordPress.
• Video editing skills are an asset.
