Systems Engineer, Customer Delivery

About the role

DataStealth is a data security platform that discovers, classifies and protects sensitive data across on-premise, cloud and cloud-native environments, using its own patented software. It is looking for a Systems Engineer, Customer Delivery to deploy and integrate DataStealth solutions in customer environments, working directly with clients and project teams. Solutions are delivered either as a professional services project or as an in-line proxy, and the role suits someone with a strong foundation in Linux, networking and system integration.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and operate DataStealth solutions in customer environments
• Collaborate with project teams throughout the solution lifecycle
• Troubleshoot connectivity, firewall, remote access and access control issues
• Use AI tools to speed up scripting, troubleshooting, research and documentation
• Support the project team in customer-facing meetings on status, timelines and troubleshooting
• Support the sales team during demos, proof-of-concepts and customer evaluations

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions/Integration Engineer, Security Engineer or Network Engineer, preferably in customer-facing settings
• Experience solving complex data governance, data risk, data security and data residency problems for enterprise customers
• Ability to work weekends and after hours for critical deployments and urgent troubleshooting, including on-call for escalations
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences, and a collaborative attitude

Required skills

• Solid scripting experience; Groovy is used in configuration and the rule engine
• Strong Linux administration and system integration background
• Firm understanding of how the internet works: IP, TCP vs UDP, routing, NAT, routing protocols, DNS
• Preferred: tokenization, encryption, tamper protection and monitoring; PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC, ISO 27001, CIS familiarity
• Preferred: HTTPS, SMTPS, SSH/SFTP, FTPS, REST APIs, JSON, XML, YAML, ORC, Parquet, MS-SQL, Oracle, Postgres, DB2, MySQL/MariaDB, AWS, Azure, GCP, Nginx/Apache, CISSP/CISM/CompTIA Linux+
