About the role
The Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist ensures the smooth operation of the organization’s IT environment. This role combines day‑to‑day systems administration with operational support, acting as a bridge between technical teams and end‑users.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and manage user access, profiles, and permissions.
- Perform backup and recovery operations and monitor system health.
- Apply software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Monitor computer workload trends and adjust resources for optimal utilization.
- Install, configure, and support network infrastructure and related hardware.
- Coordinate with vendors, assist in RFP development, and help negotiate service level agreements.
- Provide customer‑facing support, troubleshooting, and training for non‑technical users.
Required profile
- Proven experience in systems administration and operations support.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting deadlines.
