Cloud Infrastructure Developer

About the role

The Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics (C3G) at McGill University is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Developer to own and evolve the Kubernetes infrastructure that powers the Pan-Canadian Genome Library, Canada’s national genomics data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production, staging, and development Kubernetes clusters, handling upgrades, capacity planning, node lifecycle, and incident response.
• Design, implement, and document infrastructure as code for cloud resource provisioning and network configuration.
• Collaborate daily with the SecureData4Health (SD4H) DevOps team to ensure secure, compliant, and highly available environments.
• Monitor system performance, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance with data governance requirements.
• Proactively identify risks, propose architectural improvements, and contribute to technical decision‑making.
