Senior Data Analyst, Operations

About the role

Waabi, a Physical AI company behind autonomous trucks and robotaxis, is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for its Operations organization in Toronto. The role owns and evolves the metrics, dashboards and analytical foundations used to understand and run the fleet, making sure operational data is accurate, consistent and actionable across fleet performance, utilization, uptime, readiness and commercial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement, track and continuously improve core operational metrics for fleet performance, efficiency, utilization, uptime and readiness.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, datasets, data models and automated workflows that consolidate operational data, validating completeness and integrity with the Data Platform.
• Build, maintain and standardize dashboards and recurring reports, turning manual tracking into automated workflows.
• Analyze productivity, delays and downtime to find trends, root causes and improvement opportunities, and quantify the impact of operational issues.
• Propose new metrics, dashboards and analyses proactively, and build structured tracking across the mission lifecycle.
• Support commercial reporting and demos, and recommend fixes for data gaps and quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a dedicated data analyst, analytics or business intelligence role.
• Strong statistical literacy, applying methods such as significance testing, regression and distribution analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, business judgment and communication skills, able to turn ambiguous questions into structured analysis and explain results to operational and leadership audiences.

Required skills

• Strong SQL and relational datasets; Python or R for analysis (pandas preferred).
• Familiarity with dbt and modern analytics workflows.
• Building dashboards and recurring reports with BI tools, and quick adoption of new analytics and AI-assisted tools.
• Bonus: experience with operations, logistics, fleet or transportation data, and cloud data warehouses, ETL/API ingestion or workflow automation.
