Systems Administrator – Engineering

About the role

L3Harris is looking for a Systems Administrator to join the Software Engineering department in Mirabel. You will ensure the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and lab equipment for both internal teams and external clients, supporting a fast‑paced defense‑technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, configure and troubleshoot computer systems, network servers and networking equipment in System Integration Laboratories and the Software Engineering environment.
• Provide friendly, professional on‑site and remote support to clients, subcontractors and internal users.
• Create and update technical documentation, processes and procedures for engineering enabling systems.
• Evaluate, install and image operating systems, software applications and hardware across desktops, laptops and tablets.
• Manage inventory of hardware, software licenses and track renewals, end‑of‑life and total cost of ownership.
• Lead desktop and help‑desk support, ensuring timely resolution of workstation issues.
• Apply patches, firmware updates and security fixes to keep systems compliant.
• Liaise with client technical support to resolve complex issues.
