About the role
We are looking for a motivated Swamper to support our logging and forestry operations in the Montréal area. The role involves hands‑on work outdoors, assisting skilled forestry crews and ensuring safe site preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist forestry and logging workers with daily tasks.
- Attach cables or chokers to felled trees for yarding.
- Remove debris from landing areas and maintain a clean work site.
- Operate chain saws to clear trails through woodlands.
- Transport equipment and materials as needed, holding a valid driver’s licence.
Required profile
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Physically demanding work; ability to perform outdoor labor.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Available for day‑time shifts.
- Open to newcomers, refugees, youth and visible minorities.
Required skills
- Chain‑saw operation.
- Cable and choke attachment.
