Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist

About the role

Traferox Technologies is seeking a Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist to manage purchasing, inbound/outbound shipping, and inventory control for its medical‑device manufacturing operations in Mississauga. The role supports production planning, ensures supplier compliance, and handles dangerous‑goods shipments in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Select and qualify suppliers, maintain the approved supplier list, and perform supply‑risk assessments.
• Create purchase orders, obtain approvals, and track order confirmations and delivery dates.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, prepare customs documentation, and manage LTL/FTL and international freight.
• Act as a certified Dangerous Goods shipper, classifying, packing, labeling, and completing required paperwork.
• Review bills of materials (BOMs) and part drawings to ensure correct components are ordered.
• Analyze inventory movements in Sage ERP, investigate discrepancies, and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Generate inventory count sheets, build SEI usage reports, and assess the impact of change requests on stock levels.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Empower) and handling hazardous material shipments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross‑functionally with manufacturing engineering and quality assurance.
