Supervisor, Value Added Services (VAS)

About the role

Mattel is looking for a Supervisor, Value Added Services (VAS) to lead the VAS area in Mississauga, focusing on meeting customer objectives and deadlines. The role takes ownership of the VAS process and works with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Marketing, Digital Teams and Finance to ensure cost-effective execution and clear communication of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee execution of VAS activities such as pallet display programs, quarantine notices and customer returns.
• Manage inbound materials for VAS and keep records of receipts, and ensure material handling supplies are ordered and maintained through preferred suppliers.
• Liaise with Sales, Planning, Marketing, Trade Marketing and external partners to set timelines and costing for promotional assembly and receiving initiatives.
• Audit and control inventory movement to keep counts, locations and work progress accurate.
• Provide key metrics data for worldwide logistics reporting.
• Determine labour requirements for upcoming projects, track labour spend and estimate labour costs from time studies to support VAS approvals.
• Ensure labour costing is captured through biometric time clocks against pre-established project accounting codes.
• Develop efficient work methods and processes to control labour costs.
• Provide a safe working environment by following Mattel GMP standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.

Required profile

• Post-secondary diploma or degree.
• 2-3 years of warehouse experience; co-pack assembly experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience managing staff and temporary labour pools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and work to set deadlines.

Required skills

• Labour costing and time studies.
• Strong Excel skills.

The stated pay range is $87,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on location, skills and experience. Mattel states it welcomes applications from candidates who do not meet every requirement.
