Student Systems Coordinator

About the role

The Student Systems Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Student Systems Management Team within Enrolment Services at UBC. This position ensures smooth provisioning, maintenance, and security of the university’s Student Information Systems (SIS) across both Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage access requests for SIS users, prioritising and processing provisioning and de‑provisioning within service standards.
• Respond to complex inquiries where no formal policy exists, providing accurate guidance on student data and records.
• Maintain and update SIS applications, ensuring compliance with university policies, legislative requirements (e.g., FIPPA), and information security standards.
• Develop solutions and protocols to analyse and resolve records‑related issues.
• Conduct regular audit reviews of user access groups and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with UBC IT units and participate in broader enrolment services and IT initiatives.

Required profile

• Reports to the Business Solutions Analyst, Team Lead, Student Systems Management.
• Works closely with the Student Systems Management team and UBC IT staff.
• Demonstrates strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
