Student Research & Education Coordinator

About the role

The Student Research & Education Coordinator supports undergraduate students in the Faculty of Medicine by facilitating co‑curricular and experiential research opportunities. This role bridges students, faculty, and external partners to create a vibrant scholarly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and promote research, scholarship, and engagement opportunities for MD and non‑MD undergraduate students.
• Implement ongoing, annual, and one‑time projects and programs that support student learning and exit competencies.
• Participate in Faculty of Medicine committees, working groups, and advisory councils.
• Coordinate communication across regional and clinical campuses regarding student research activities.
• Manage donor and stakeholder relationships and support student‑led initiatives.
• Create and maintain databases of research projects, researchers, and related web content.
• Oversee coordination of activities, gather information on research, scholarship, and funding opportunities, and disseminate it to students.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating academic or research programs, preferably within a health‑science environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to work with students, faculty, and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of the MD Undergraduate Program competencies and co‑curricular learning.
