About the role
The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy seeks a Student Research Assistant to support the evaluation of its OT mentoring extension program. The role combines research activities, data analysis, and administrative support, offering a practical learning experience in a university setting.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a survey for both mentees and mentors, ensuring relevance and clarity of questions.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of the collected survey data using appropriate statistical and thematic methods.
- Develop focus group discussion guides, conduct focus group sessions, and carry out thematic analysis of the qualitative data.
- Provide administrative support such as editing and formatting research documents, preparing materials for events, and assisting with logistical arrangements as needed.
Required profile
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrate high-level English proficiency in both written and oral communication (level 4 qualifier).
- Possess experience in conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities, essential for collaborative research environments.
- Have knowledge of both French and English, aligning with the bilingual context of the university.
