About the role
The Institute of Health Sciences Education seeks a motivated Research Assistant to join Dr. Monica Molinaro’s team. The role focuses on qualitative research related to moral distress among health‑care providers and supports knowledge translation for health‑profession education and policy.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in qualitative coding, analysis, and preparation of summary reports under supervision.
- Collect, manage, and clean qualitative data, including transcription of interviews and focus groups.
- Retrieve data from databases to support the development of presentations, scientific papers, and reports.
- Assist with knowledge‑translation activities, such as creating plain‑language research summaries.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a health‑professions or health‑sciences education field.
- Completion of a research methods course covering qualitative methodology and prior qualitative research experience.
Required skills
- Qualitative data transcription and coding.
- Interview and focus‑group facilitation.
- Knowledge‑translation skills for producing plain‑language summaries.
