Structured Cabling Technician II

About the role

Paladin Technologies is seeking experienced low‑voltage technicians to join our team as Structured Cabling Technicians II. You will work on large‑scale data, audio‑visual and CCTV installations, interpreting blueprints and ensuring installations meet client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service cabling infrastructure (Cat5/6, fiber optic) and related devices for data, AV and CCTV systems.
• Terminate, label, test, and document installations according to project drawings and specifications.
• Install network racks, cabinets and patch panels in server rooms and other environments.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams and customers to review plans and resolve installation challenges.
• Adhere to Bosch Building Technology’s quality and safety programs, including OHS checks.
• Complete accurate documentation such as packing slips, checklists, as‑built drawings and test results.
• Perform night shifts, overtime or travel on an ad‑hoc basis as project needs dictate.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience installing and servicing structured cabling systems.
• Proven ability to pull, terminate and test Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables.
• Experience with rack and cabinet installations and other low‑voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communications, nurse call, RTLS).
• Post‑secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract and ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Bondable and able to pass a background check.
