Steward – Food & Beverage Services (Rotational)

About the role

Join the crew of MV Isabelle X/Saga‑Company vessels as a Steward responsible for maintaining clean and safe food‑service areas. This rotational, three‑year position offers hands‑on experience in a marine hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize galley areas, dishwashing stations, equipment, floors and work surfaces.
• Maintain public dining spaces, service counters, washrooms, storage rooms, walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Separate and transport food waste, recyclables and general waste to designated transfer points.
• Monitor and replenish dining‑area supplies such as utensils, plates, cups, condiments and beverages.
• Restock cold buffet line items and ensure reusable containers are clean and ready for use.
• Assist storekeepers and cooks with moving and storing provisions.
• Follow manufacturer‑recommended cleaning procedures for industrial galley equipment.
• Complete daily checklists and adhere to schedules set by the Supervisor.
• Wear appropriate PPE and uphold safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on a rotating schedule for up to three years.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Punctual, reliable and able to work in a team environment.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning, lifting and waste‑handling tasks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitisation protocols for food‑service environments.
• Experience with dishwashing and waste segregation processes.
• Familiarity with basic galley equipment operation and maintenance.
