Sr. Superintendent

About the role

Aecon is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on‑site construction activities for large‑scale civil infrastructure projects across Canada and the United States. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for site organization, traffic control, logistics, temporary works, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage overall site layout to optimise space and resources.
• Develop and implement traffic management plans ensuring safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
• Coordinate logistics for material delivery, storage, and equipment deployment.
• Oversee temporary works such as shoring, scaffolding, and formwork.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise daily operations, liaise with unionised crews and project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress to meet quality, schedule, and budget targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, transit).
• Ability to manage unionised labour forces and coordinate multiple trades.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
