Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse (Infusion)

About the role

The Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse delivers and monitors specialized infusion, injectable or oral pharmacological treatments in patients' homes or clinic settings. Working under the Specialty Pharma Supervisor or Nurse Manager, you will ensure patient safety, document procedures accurately, and report any adverse events promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop individualized nursing care plans and conduct patient health assessments.
• Obtain IV access via peripheral IV, PICC, IVAD, or other central lines.
• Prepare and administer specialized intravenous or injectable pharmacological treatments.
• Monitor patients for infusion‑related reactions and intervene as required.
• Document patient conditions, adverse events, and pharmacovigilance reports.
• Perform routine nursing duties in line with company policies, provincial standards, and pharmacovigilance requirements.

Required profile

• BSN degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial nursing regulatory body.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for clinic role).
• Experience in acute care or infusion settings is preferred.
