Software Engineer, Product (Early Career)

About the role

Asana is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Product team in Vancouver. You will work on end‑to‑end features, from data‑model design to the interaction details that make software feel great. The role involves the full product lifecycle, from conception through post‑launch reflection, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver clean, production‑ready code for new features and enhancements.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives while balancing technical excellence with stakeholder alignment.
• Champion engineering standards through code reviews and peer mentorship.
• Participate in design discussions, articulating technical constraints and trade‑offs.
• Contribute to the long‑term roadmap and technical strategy for the product suite.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or graduating summer 2026) with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a software‑engineering environment (internship, co‑op, or early‑career role).
• Strong grasp of computer‑science fundamentals, data structures, and programming concepts.
• Growth mindset, collaborative attitude, and ability to work effectively across roles.
• Fast learner eager to contribute to product development from day one.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
