About the role

Rakuten International is looking for a Software Engineer 2 (iOS) to join the Apps team. You will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that handle authentication, authorization, and account security for millions of Rakuten members.

Key responsibilities

Design and implement native iOS features and embedded web‑based authentication flows.
Collaborate with product, backend, and security partners to deliver secure access experiences.
Debug, optimise, and improve existing iOS code for performance and reliability.
Integrate iOS components with backend identity services.
Own technical decisions and contribute to the team’s roadmap.

Required profile

Strong foundation in application development and problem‑solving.
Ability to work on somewhat complex requirements and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
Commitment to delivering high‑quality, secure mobile experiences.
