Software Engineer I

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join the Developer Portal pod within TD’s DevSecOps Enabling Products group. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the TD Developer Portal, an internal developer platform built on Backstage, to deliver new features, fix defects, and support ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and release new features and bug fixes for the TD Developer Portal.
• Perform quality engineering and testing coverage for contributed code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and scripting.
• Maintain product and process documentation for internal teams and customers.
• Represent the team with stakeholders and customers, ensuring clear communication.
• Collaborate with other pods and P&T teams to deliver high‑quality, high‑value products.
• Design, manage, and query PostgreSQL data models and configurations.
• Follow industry best practices and TD’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle guidelines.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree (undergraduate or master’s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software development, architecture or engineering.
• Experience with full‑stack development and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
