Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer)

About the role

Tradable Bits is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its Vancouver office. You will work across the full stack, building high‑quality features and infrastructure that power fan experiences for leading sports, music and entertainment brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications, including front‑end UI, back‑end services, APIs and databases.
• Manage the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Deploy and support applications in staging and production, ensuring performance, reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers across time zones in an Agile environment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Eager, proactive and solutions‑oriented with a strong curiosity for how things work.
• Ability to reason logically, identify problems and devise clear solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and managing your own workload.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of the web application stack (front‑end and back‑end).
• High‑level proficiency in Python.
• High‑level proficiency in SQL.
• Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP, TLS and TCP.
• Extensive experience with Linux as a primary operating system.
• Strong JavaScript skills and ability to write clean HTML/CSS without heavy frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and other version‑control systems.
• Familiarity with core Unix concepts (threading, processes, memory management).
