Software Developer – Microsoft Dynamics ERP

About the role

Binary Stream is seeking a permanent, full‑time Software Developer to join its Burnaby office on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Senior Development Team Lead, you will design and deliver high‑quality software solutions for Microsoft Dynamics ERP that meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Clarify product feature requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create functional design specifications for new features.
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Support and improve a CI/CD‑driven release process.
• Full‑lifecycle development, customization, and enhancement of Business Central solutions.
• Investigate, analyze, and replicate issues, providing customer support.
• Perform performance tuning and refactor existing products for compliance and robustness.
• Mentor junior team members and lead approved R&D initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews and leverage AI‑assisted development tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain AI agents and Copilot‑enabled features within Business Central extensions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience developing Business Central extensions using the AL language.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a commitment to code quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• AL development language for Business Central.
• Automated unit and integration testing with the Business Central AL testing framework.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools and Copilot‑enabled features.
• Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics ERP architecture.
