Software Developer II – Bilingual (Backend)

About the role

Bell is seeking a bilingual Software Developer II to join its network automation team. The role focuses on backend development, contributing to high‑performance APIs and services that drive the future of Bell’s network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Collaborate with product experts, developers, and stakeholders to integrate new functionalities.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the platform.
• Support continuous improvement of architecture, performance, and database optimization.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and a modern backend framework (e.g., FastAPI).
• Good knowledge of TypeScript and experience with a frontend framework such as Vue.js.
• Familiarity with AI‑powered coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini) for code quality and documentation.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and Agile development practices.
