About the role

The Narrative Refinery, a boutique social media strategy and content production agency, is seeking a Social‑First Designer to edit content for four design‑conscious clients during a major international sporting event (late July to early August). This is a part‑time, project‑based contract with a defined budget and the potential to evolve into an ongoing part‑time role.

Key responsibilities

• Edit raw photo and video assets into polished, on‑brand posts for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Create static/carousel graphics and short‑form videos (Reels, TikToks, Stories) that match each client’s visual guidelines.
• Follow provided shot lists and content briefs, delivering files quickly across multiple brands.
• Organize and clearly label final assets for captioning and scheduling.
• Flag questions early and manage your own workload to meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Proactive, self‑directed and able to take a brief and run with it.
• Experienced specifically in social‑first content, not just generic graphic design.
• Comfortable with fast turnarounds and juggling several brands without sacrificing quality.
• Reliable communicator, especially across time zones.
