Skilled Worker - Case Area, Part Time

About the role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is looking for a Case Flow Skilled Worker for an existing opportunity in its Georgetown operation. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role monitors the flow of packaged milk from production to shipping, operates the case filling and case stacking machinery, adjusts line settings for product changes, removes substandard product and keeps the work area clean. The schedule involves varying days and hours.

Key responsibilities

• Supply the de-palletizer with garbage-free cases shift by shift and remove skids of cases from trailers
• Identify and remove garbage from cases, perform lid washing and daily cleaning of the case washer mezzanine, de-palletizer area and warehouses
• Use the required equipment to keep a steady supply of cases to production and record shift data
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and give immediate corrective action
• Complete documents needed to maintain BRC and HACCP standards and support quality standards
• Perform other departmental duties as assigned

Required profile

• Grade 12 education
• Working knowledge of a food or dairy environment and of chemicals
• Forklift license (must have or obtain)
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, quick to assess facts and communicate effectively
