Skilled Worker - Case Area, Part-Time

About the role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is looking for a Skilled Worker (Caser Stacker) for an existing opportunity in its case area. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role covers operating the case filling and case stacking machinery, adjusting line settings for product changes, removing substandard product and keeping the work area clean. It is a part-time position with varying days and hours, paid $24.50.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, start up and operate the caser/stacker area, ensuring case supply to the caser equipment and conveyors is working properly
• Clean the associated work area and equipment regularly using cleaning chemicals
• Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns
• Sort and recycle products on hold, leakers and similar items
• Complete the necessary documents to maintain BRC and HACCP standards
• Support and maintain Saputo's quality standards and perform other departmental duties as assigned
• Some heavy lifting is required

Required profile

• Grade 12 education
• Working knowledge of a food or dairy environment
• Working knowledge of chemicals
• Must have or obtain a forklift license
• Able to multi-task in a dynamic environment, with a high commitment and teamwork
• Quick to assess facts and make sound decisions, with effective verbal and written communication
