Continuous Improvement, Site Lead

About the role

Saputo Canada is looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Site Lead in Georgetown. The CI Site Lead supports the Plant Manager and drives long-term improvement in the plant, reporting directly to the Plant Manager (or to a CI Site Manager at a large site) and with a dotted line to the CI Regional Specialist/Manager. The role is a hands-on CI Ambassador with daily floor presence, Monday to Friday days.

Key responsibilities

• Own IoTORQ/OEE: implement and measure plant OEE, keep the Saputo Production System up to date and be accountable for national OEE reporting.
• Monitor plant capacity, optimize asset utilization and develop the plant master plan (3-5 year performance, processes and culture).
• Take part in the yearly budget, identify improvement opportunities and track site benefits with the plant accountant.
• Lead small to medium LSS projects, investigate root causes and analyze daily production data to reduce total delivered cost.
• Run yearly internal health checks of the Operation Excellence System and support external ones.
• Train staff in IoTORQ and the Operation Excellence System, build CI competence and support Production, Warehouse and Maintenance in their daily schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education in operations management, logistics or warehousing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to influence and work at all levels of the organization.
• Change management skills and ability to lead and motivate people toward improvement targets.

Required skills

• Green Belt certification is an asset; CAMP, PMP or agile certification is also an asset.
• Strong understanding of CI modules and tools, project management and Microsoft Office.
