Site Superintendent – Underground Infrastructure

About the role

The Site Superintendent will lead all field operations for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations project, ensuring safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery of complex underground infrastructure, including tunnelling and station construction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise daily construction activities on‑site.
• Manage subcontractors, tradespeople, labourers and suppliers.
• Oversee logistics, material deliveries and equipment utilisation.
• Enforce occupational health and safety regulations, conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections.
• Identify and mitigate hazards promptly.
• Ensure work complies with design specifications, drawings and industry standards.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, safety, environment and quality teams.
• Report progress and issues to the Construction Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction sites, preferably in underground or tunnelling projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and site personnel.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Effective communication with engineering, safety, environment and quality departments.
