Site Superintendent

About the role

ATCO Frontec is looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to lead construction and installation of water‑treatment facilities and associated infrastructure in remote Northern and Arctic locations. The role requires a hands‑on leader who can ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery in challenging, camp‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on‑site construction activities for remote water‑treatment and infrastructure projects.
• Execute work according to issued‑for‑construction drawings, specifications, schedules and project procedures.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower productivity and work quality, identifying constructability issues and schedule risks early.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and a positive, accountable culture for field crews.
• Oversee civil works such as excavation, grading, trenching, concrete, foundations and underground utilities.
• Support installation and integration of modular buildings, structural systems and mechanical support infrastructure.
• Coordinate daily execution with subcontractors, vendors, client representatives, engineering teams and project management.
• Manage remote logistics including material coordination, equipment utilization and workforce planning.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, inspections and ensure compliance with client, company and regulatory requirements.
• Operate equipment as needed, including skid steer, telehandler and aerial work platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a superintendent or senior field leader on civil, structural and modular construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work in remote or camp‑based environments, preferably in Northern or Arctic conditions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
