Site Superintendent – Calgary

About the role

The Site Superintendent will lead all on‑site construction activities for projects in Calgary, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Reporting to the Director of Field, this role coordinates teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead on‑site construction teams, including subcontractors and labour.
• Read and interpret subcontracts, design drawings, and blueprints to ensure scope clarity.
• Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor progress against project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align on goals and specifications.
• Create and maintain detailed construction schedules, weekly updates, and a six‑week look‑ahead.
• Lead weekly sub‑trade meetings to coordinate site activities.
• Review and follow up on RFI responses to prevent schedule delays.
• Monitor construction processes for compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct workmanship deficiencies.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
• Track project expenses, review invoices, and control costs while preserving quality.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
