Site Safety Advisor – Construction (Multifamily Residential)

About the role

Anthem is seeking a Site Safety Advisor to maintain, monitor and advise the project‑specific safety program for multifamily residential construction in Calgary. The SSA works under the direction of Safety Managers and supports superintendents, trade partners and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer first aid and conduct formal site inspections daily.
• Collect, review and track safety forms, permits, toolbox minutes and hazard assessments.
• Complete incident investigation reports, safety orientations and monthly safety statistics.
• Evaluate trade partner compliance, conduct monthly trade safety meetings and file trade safety documentation.
• Inspect emergency equipment and fall protection systems on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Current CSO certification and at least 3 years of safety experience.
• Industrial First Aid Level 2 certification with transportation endorsement.
• Strong organization, people skills and ability to build positive relationships with trade partners and site teams.
• Trade background (strongly preferred) and knowledge of construction work processes, tools and machinery.
• Understanding of current regulations, bylaws and utility protection, with the ability to guide and train site crews.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic safety systems such as SiteDocs.
• Industrial First Aid Level 2 certification.
• CSO certification.
• Knowledge of local Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
