Site Manager – Compliance & Reclamation

About the role
Glencore is seeking a Site Manager to lead environmental and reclamation activities across four sites in the Granisle area. Reporting to the Reclamation Manager, Western Canada, you will supervise consultants, contractors, the HSEC Coordinator and the Site Coordinator while ensuring compliance with corporate, governmental and dam‑safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all sites meet Glencore, government and GISTM dam‑safety requirements; manage consultants to achieve compliance.
- Review, update and maintain site‑specific H&S and environmental documents (EPRP, OMS, Closure Management Manual, LOTO, TMP).
- Deliver safety inductions, coordinate training, and support work‑permit processes.
- Participate in risk assessments and coordinate inspections with regulators, contractors and consultants.
- Manage permits and certificates of compliance, including sample collection, lab‑result review and preparation of monitoring and reclamation reports.
- Conduct dam‑safety inspections, develop maintenance plans and ensure ongoing permit adherence.
- Oversee specialist tasks such as AEMP, revegetation monitoring, waste‑rock chemical characterization and treatment‑option assessments.
- Control budgets, approve invoices and lead small capital projects.
- Assist in drafting and evaluating technical RFPs, review final work plans and sign off deliverables.
- Ensure contractors operate within defined scopes and Glencore HSEC standards.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in environmental or reclamation projects.
- Strong ability to engage with regulators, local stakeholders and internal partners.
- Solid technical knowledge of environmental compliance, dam safety and geotechnical principles.
- Experience delivering safety training, conducting risk assessments and managing permits.
- Demonstrated budget and contract management skills.
