About the role
Kiba Contracting Ltd is seeking a reliable Short Haul Truck Driver to join its logistics team in Edmonton. This full‑time, permanent position involves transporting goods on short‑distance routes while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Operate straight‑ or articulated‑truck combinations to deliver cargo on short‑haul routes.
- Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage equipment, and overall vehicle condition.
- Perform brake adjustments and routine preventive maintenance.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- Attention to detail and ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Short‑haul driving experience is an asset.
- Valid Class 3/3F/DF licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than three axles).
Required skills
- Air Brakes Endorsement.
- Class 3/3F/DF Licence.
