Shopper Marketing Manager (S&CM)

About the role

Beiersdorf Canada is looking for a shopper marketing professional to build and lead shopper marketing plans that strengthen visibility and accelerate sales across in-store and online touchpoints. The role works closely with Marketing and Commercial Strategy, owns retailer budgets and manages agency partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead shopper marketing plans and annual shopper programs that drive conversion at POS through secondary placements, signage, demos, coupons, contests and in-store media
• Translate brand priorities into actionable S&CM initiatives and define activation frameworks, calendars and timelines
• Develop an annual display strategy and execution guidelines aligned with brand and retailer priorities
• Own retailer ASP and S&CM program budgets (including VAS), including PO creation, invoicing, forecasting and reporting to Finance
• Act as gatekeeper for display financials (RCE process) and co-develop national programs with Commercial Strategy and Marketing
• Lead an annual post-mortem to evaluate program performance and ROI, and identify emerging trends and technologies to test
• Work with procurement to reduce costs of displays and on-packs, e.g. through tendering
• Manage relationships with agency partners (Neptune, Walmart Connect, Advanced, etc.) and champion NA synergies

Required profile

• BS/BA in Business Administration
• 8+ years of similar experience in a consumer products company in shopper marketing, commercial strategy, sales and/or marketing
• Deep understanding of the shopper journey and the CPG retail environment
• Business and financial acumen, strategic mindset and analytical skills
• Planning and project management skills, and proven experience partnering with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Sales and leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication
