Shipper-Receiver & Bottle Preparation Technician

About the role

The Shipper-Receiver & Bottle Preparation Technician ensures accurate preparation, packing, and shipping of sample collection bottles for Bureau Veritas clients while complying with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations and internal quality standards. The role blends logistics, laboratory support, and safe handling of hazardous materials in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Label, dispense acid, and prepare bottles according to safety standards.
• Pack bottles in coolers with appropriate ice packs, sealing, and labeling per TDG requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized preparation area and ensure coolers are in good condition.
• Provide pick‑up and delivery services for parcels, samples, and mail within the Bedford area.
• Dispose of lab samples, heat‑treat samples, and chemically treat wastewater, keeping detailed records.
• Maintain inventory of glassware, preservatives, and dispensing apparatus.
• Research and select cost‑effective shipping routes while ensuring compliance with hazardous material legislation.
• Communicate with personnel at other locations to ensure consistency and meet client turnaround times.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required); laboratory experience considered an asset.
• Valid full driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast‑paced lab environment.
