Sessional Instructor – Consultation in School Psychology (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary seeks a term‑certain Sessional Instructor to teach EDPS 683 — Consultation in School Psychology during the Fall 2026 term (August 24 – December 18). The course is delivered on‑campus and provides foundational knowledge and skills in consultation for graduate students in Educational Psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess on‑site lectures, discussions, and assignments for EDPS 683.
• Facilitate student learning through case studies, role‑plays, and practical consultation techniques.
• Provide timely feedback on student performance and grades.
• Collaborate with program faculty to align course content with practicum requirements.
• Maintain course materials in the university’s learning management system.

Required profile

• Completed doctorate (PhD or EdD) in psychology or a closely related field.
• Registration as a psychologist.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience at university, workplace, or school settings.
• Experience delivering courses in online or blended formats.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
