About the role
The Department of English at the University of Calgary seeks qualified scholars to teach ENGL 487 – Advanced Studies in Children’s Literature during the Fall 2026 term. This is a part‑time, in‑person teaching appointment scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions for ENGL 487.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with university standards.
- Provide timely feedback and grades to students.
- Maintain office hours for student consultation.
Required profile
- PhD in English or a closely related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated success teaching English courses at the post‑secondary level.
- Current expertise in children’s literature.
