Senior/Mid Frontend Engineer (React)

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Sensor Tower you will build and define high‑visibility, rapid‑release products, shaping technical direction in a lean, flat organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver complex, scalable frontend systems while removing unnecessary complexity.
• Partner with Product Managers to co‑author requirements and ensure engineering feasibility.
• Lead technical decision‑making for medium‑to‑large features and own successful delivery.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers through code reviews, pair programming and quality‑first habits.
• Own the frontend stack, identify bottlenecks, technical debt and drive initiatives to fix them.
• Advocate best practices in React, TypeScript and web performance optimization.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Backend Engineers to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering experience with modern JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
• Proven ability to architect complex state management (e.g., TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux, MobX).
• Experience designing maintainable systems that handle complexity.
• Track record of elevating peers through mentorship and teaching best practices.
• Competence in writing robust unit and integration tests using Jest, Cypress or Playwright.
• Deep understanding of web performance, browser internals and optimization for data‑heavy applications.
• Product‑owner mindset, caring about the “why” behind features and able to push back on requirements.
